Well if you didn’t know before, you’re going to know now…drum roll please…Larry Brown anxiously wants to get back to those good old sidelines where he spent countless years coaching some of the best to ever play the game. Unfortunately his luck with the pros hasn’t been so great…so what is good old Larry Brown to do? Could college ball be the answer? Could he be making another comeback to the college ranks? Hmmm…I wouldn’t say that it isn’t totally out of the question. Let’s not forget that the great Larry Brown interviewed for the Princeton job just last year.

Which leads to me to my point exactly, and rumor has it that Mr. Brown himself maybe interested in the unfilled Stanford position. I got these allegations from a local bay area newspaper website that I try to read up on every week in attempt to keep up with what’s going on back home in Cali. Although there are some that say that Larry Brown can’t seriously be considered a candidate for the job…hell I don’t see why not.

You never know, maybe Stanford’s Athletic Director Bob Bowlsby might really consider hiring the man. Bowlsby is in such a panic right now that maybe Larry Brown might just be what the doctor ordered. Browlsby has found himself in a predicament to where he is pretty much in a situation where he is hoping and praying for a coaching superstar to just drop out of the sky. Hopefully he’ll be able to find a way to save a huge catastrophe from taking place due to the untimely departure of great coach Trent Johnson.

Even though the rumors haven’t been proven true yet doesn’t mean that this isn’t an option for Mr. Browlsby and Mr. Brown. Even though Larry Brown ended his career on a pretty bad not with the Knicks, if my memory serves me correctly, the man has only undergone a grand total of three losing seasons in over two decades. Do you need me to repeat that? I think it’s sad that not very many NBA front offices are giving him looks but then again I could be wrong and I just haven’t heard about them yet. You never know, a couple weeks from now it can be a whole other big name candidate in the mix.
